The most well-known method of alternative dispute resolution in Cyprus is Arbitration.
Many contracts use an arbitration clause which stipulates that the parties, in the event of a dispute, will have to appoint an arbitrator to settle their dispute. The Cyprus Arbitration Training programme aims to inform any person who wishes to acquire sufficient knowledge in arbitration so that they can either handle arbitrations with their clients or be able to conduct an arbitration as arbitrators.
The arbitration programmes are organized by the Cyprus Center for ADR upon request.
